Appeal from Foodbank for items for Christmas Boxes
‘Many people have been enquiring about donating food in the run-up to Christmas. As usual we will be packing extra boxes to go alongside our standard emergency food boxes to provide families and individuals with something special this Christmas.
We are looking for the following items please:
Quality tins of Meat, (i.e. ham or turkey), Christmas Puddings, Mince Pies, Biscuit Assortments, Variety Pack Chocolates, Christmas Cake/Yule Log, Crackers, Custard etc.
These will be packed with vegetables, soup, fruit and any additional items donated.’
However, money is becoming a continuing issue, and it is becoming a common problem throughout all of Cornwall’s Foodbanks. All are having to react to an increase in demand; and although food is being donated in increasing volumes covering the demand, the costs related to sustaining larger Foodbanks is becoming a challenge. So, the real requirement now is cash.
If you could help through regular donations we would be extremely grateful. Setting up a Standing Order is ideal, but any donation would be wonderful. We can also take donations CAF and Stewardship schemes.
If you can help please contact the Liskeard & Looe Foodbank.

Thank you for your support.
Last year (2016) St Germans Group donated 495.7kg. This is more than twice what was donated in 2015. The Foodbank thanks all living in the parish who have donated so generously – and are continuing to do so………..
